"Contemplation"
Pastel on panel
The warm colours reflect the typical vibrancy which exists in the Middle
East. The point of interest is the white turban and the fact that the face
and hand are surrounded by a heavy amount of material.
The work captures a particular mood, whereby the viewer begins to ponder on
the drawing, just like the subject in the drawing ponders and contemplates.
