"Nini"
Oil on canvas
A different way to portray the sitter. A natural journey allows the
viewer’s eye to move from left to right.
The inspiration was arrived at, by examining the subject’s different
expressions after having taken a series of photographs. Rather that painting
the head in the more conventional manner, the painting became a working
piece of art, by introducing another two heads of the same sitter.
Having three different positions of the same sitter allows the character of
the subject to come across more easily, since the viewer is presented with
different facets of the same person.
Not only is consistency of the utmost importance, but creating a natural
rhythm is crucial. |
